Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern use of Anderson County Busted Mugshots. The service is privately owned, not connected to a government body, and offers general navigation to Anderson County and South Carolina record resources. Use of the service means acceptance of these terms.

Neither this service nor its advertising partners provides consumer reports or FCRA-regulated services. It is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency, and information may not be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-covered purpose.

Private Reference Service

This is a private information service with no affiliation to a sheriff, jail, corrections department, court, or other government office. It stores no official booking or court records, cannot verify a custody result, and cannot submit a document or obtain a release. It points visitors toward public resources and third-party research tools.

Acceptable Use

Visitors must use the service lawfully and respectfully.

  • Do not use it to harass, threaten, stalk, or harm another person.
  • Do not seek unauthorized access to the service or connected systems.
  • Do not interfere with normal use by other visitors.
  • Do not use automated bots, scrapers, or bulk collection tools without written permission.
  • Do not rely on the service for a prohibited FCRA-covered decision.
  • Do not break a law while using information reached through the service.

FCRA Restrictions

The service and its partners do not provide background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. By using it, a visitor agrees not to use information for hiring or firing, tenant or housing screening, creditworthiness, insurance pricing, licensing, permit decisions, government-program eligibility, or any other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Outside Resources

The service may link to official custody systems, court portals, corrections sites, federal locators, and third-party tools. A link is not an endorsement. The operator does not control another organization’s content, privacy practice, pricing, uptime, or result accuracy, and visitors should review the terms that apply there.

Service Provided As Is

The service is offered as is and as available, without warranties about accuracy, completeness, currency, uninterrupted operation, security, freedom from errors, or the completeness of any partner result. Custody and court information can change quickly, and nothing here is an official statement by an agency.

Limits and Indemnity

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service or an external resource. A visitor agrees to defend and hold the operator harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from that visitor’s misuse or violation of these terms.

Ownership of Content

The service’s text, graphics, logo, design, and code belong to Anderson County Busted Mugshots or its content partners and are protected by applicable law. They may not be copied, distributed, modified, or republished without written permission, except as law permits.

Updates and Access

These terms may be changed at any time, with revised terms effective when posted. Access may be limited, suspended, or ended at any time and without notice when the operator considers that action necessary.

South Carolina Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Carolina. Any dispute arising from them must be brought in courts within South Carolina, subject to applicable jurisdictional rules.

Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected provision will be adjusted only as needed to make it enforceable where possible.
